Kamari Beach
This gorgeous black-sand beach is located on the southeast of Santorini, right at the foot of Mesa Vuono Mountain. It's a great place to sunbathe and swim—it's been awarded the Blue Flag for its clean and clear waters after all.
Museum of Prehistoric Thera
The Museum of Prehistoric Thira, having as a point of reference the Prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri, presents the life and culture of Thira during the Prehistoric period as depicted through a variety of exhibits, mainly clay vessels and frescoes of fine art, representing the illustrious Cycladic civilization that flourished on the island.
Akrotiri (prehistoric city)
Akrotiri is the site of a Cycladic Bronze Age settlement on the volcanic Greek island of Santorini (Thera). The name comes from the nearby village of Akrotiri. The settlement was destroyed in the Theran eruption sometime in the 16th century BCE[2] and buried in volcanic ash, which preserved the remains of fine frescoes and many objects and artworks. Akrotiri has been excavated since 1967 after earlier excavations on Santorini.
Visit Oia village
Oia is the most beautiful village of Santorini that recently started looking like a glamorous town, every day gathering thousands of people longing for seeing the famous Oia sunsets. If you have time to visit just one place in the island – choose Oia. That’s what you’ve been dreaming of for so many years looking at the pictures of the white churches with bright blue domes.
Visit the volcano
The active volcano has been responsible for creating, destroying, and reshaping Santorini and other islands all over the Aegean. In fact, in antiquity, it wiped out the entire Minoan civilization. The volcano is located on "Nea Kameni", an islet that faces the caldera and can only be approached by boat tour. Once there, visitors have the unique opportunity to explore an ashen land, naturally decorated with almost exclusively black and red lava stones. From there, the world’s biggest caldera can be seen, with the famous whitewashed villages built on its top.
